What to say when your boss ask if you’ve settled your disagreement with your co-worker

Consider it handled. Paul Allen (reminder: he’s the co-founder of Microsoft and the person CI officials hold responsible for damage done to a portion of the island’s coral reef) has agreed to make a compensation payment. This is in addition to the money Allen spent earlier this year to help restore the damage to the reef after it was deemed that his yacht’s anchor caused the damage. The damaged spans about 13,000sqft of coral reef and although Allen has agreed to pay, this does not mean that he accepts any fault.

What to say when your friend asks why you’re not answering the phone

The Dept. of Immigration has confirmed that they are sending out debt collection letters, emails and making phone calls to those who owe fees for permanent residency(PR). A Freedom of Information (FOI) request has revealed that the gov. is owed some $4m in permanent residency fees. The Dept. of Immigration says it’s unable to collect $2.7m, why? Think: revocations and recindments. About 473 PR holders owe back dated fees and about 47 of those have had their status revoked for continually failing to pay up. DG Manderson is urging the public to think about the bigger picture and not to rush to judgement. He’s encouraging the public to consider that some of these PR holders have families here and have made valuable contributions to society.Nick Joseph, an immigration lawyer, believes that some of the fees could be due to legitimate legal disputes and confusion in the revised immigration law.
